Project: Model Smart Street

Location: Newtown Street Development – Street No. 165- 166

Project Year: 2020

In collaboration with: West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO)

The project was a proposal to re-design the existing streetscape of street number 164-166 in New Town Kolkata. The design aims to create a safe space that fosters the growth of the community and provides equitable access to the available space.

This has been done by redesign and recalibration the footpaths, crossings, public transport outlets, public conveniences, and other amenities. Keeping the local practices and associations in mind Chaa and Adda corners have also been designed to conserve intangible traditions of the city.
