Liminal Spaces

Project: Liminal Spaces
Location: New Town
Project Year: 2019
In collaboration with: West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO)
The growth of transport infrastructure and the establishment of metro rails is accompanied by rows of dull concrete metro pillars which often lends cities the pretext of being concrete jungles. This development inurn has become a major issue for the residents as well as the governing bodies of the city. Adding colour to Metro pillars immediately helps brighten up the commute for those who have to encounter it on a daily basis. Apart from that, it also prevents the underbelly of metro rails from transforming into negative unsafe spaces in the urban fabric.
After the Urban Art movement that that was initiated by the feeder box initiative, HIDCO entrusted the Foundation, to take forward the artwork on metro pillars in New Town.
