2. Raising the building above flood plane
3. Ensuring health and hygiene
4. Shelter Design considering incremental planning
5. Modularity of shelters
6. Using Locally available material
7. Construction technique to ensure rigidity of shelter to resist calamity
8. Using local people for executing the design at site
